My doc almost KILLED NY BABY!! word of advice ALWAYS MAKE SURE U CHECK WITH pharmacist BEFORE JUST taking ANYTHING EVEN IF FROM UR DOCTOR!!! so wut happened was i went to my doc apointment and because i have a history of having small babies my doctor prescribed me meds to make sure baby gets bigger..so i go to my pharmacy to pick up my prescription and to make a long story short, the pharmacist went back to tripple check even with another pharmacist and online and came bak to me and said " SORRY WE CANT RELEASE THIS TO U BECAUSE THIS ASPRIN IS DEADLY TO BABY , IT EVEN SAYS EXSPECIALLY IF UR INBUR THIRD TRIMESTER".. IM in my 3rd trimester!! He says maybe ur doc meant to write another prescription and accidently wrote this one because they sound identical. HE SAID BUT EITHER WAY A OBGYN NEVER PRECRIBES ASPRIN..im havin a csection i cant afford mistakez like this!SWITCHIN DOCTORS MONDAY
@uknopriceless, I was also prescribed a low dose aspirin in the last few weeks of pregnancy for blood pressure..
Oh see thats good to know then because i was thinkin its all bad, so maybe my doc isnt tryin to kill my baby.. Hmmm. So now ill call into the doc office to figure itbout rather than just switch. But yeah if he even says he made a mistake ima go ahead and switch. THANK U @missyjill
My high risk OBGYN started me on low dose aspirin (81mg) once a day when I was 20 weeks to help prevent preeclampsia and plans to have me stop taking the medication at 36 weeks. So far, so good for me, but in your case, it never hurts to get a second opinion and switch doctors if your gut has strong feelings about it. Good luck!
Yeah i already have doctor in mind thats not far from my house that i seeb earliee in this pregnancy before i switched to the one that almost killed my baby
Hopefully you can find a doctor this late in pregnancy. Most OBGYNs dont take new third trimester patients. I wouldnt say anything to the current doc until you have a new one in place. I cant believe that happened. That is so wrong.
@missyjill, my doctor had me take aspirin also to prevent preeclampsia. Now I'm worried 😩
