I am breastfeeding and I pump throughout the day to bottle feed, & put baby on my breast once at night. Will my milk stop being produced after a while? or as long as I'm pumping it'll produce?

okay, Thank you so much! Also, how many times do you think I should skin to skin breastfeed instead of bottle feed throughout the day? @ladyameliasmama

During the day pump every 2-2 1/2 hours. You can go 3-4 at night to get rest. If you aren't resting you won't produce. Make sure you're staying very hydrated and eating a healthy diet:)

Not true. One persons production isn't everyone's production. I know who have exclusively pumped for a year or more and have a healthy suppmy

As long as you are consistently pumping you will produce milk. I exclusively pump for my daughter

Your body will start to lose production. Pumping only tells your body to make so much... its best to have your baby latch as much as possible. When I went back to work and pumped every couple hours vs latching every couple hours I lost almost half of my supply within a couple months

Breast pump covered by insurance I've already done what I needed to find out what type of pump I get covered through insurance. It turns out, with my insurance, I can't even get my pump shipped to me until I call them with all the birth details of my baby. So...wth am I supposed to do having a baby and no pump?! I plan to pump exclusively and this REALLY throws a wrench in my plans.

Breastfeeding moms: so I am planning on going on a 3 day vacation with my hubby & a bunch of friends to Catalina in May, (my baby won't be going with us) and I do not wanna be pumping and dumping every 2 hours out there.. so if I don't pump or breastfeed for 3-4 days, will my milk supply drop significantly? 😩😩 & I don't know how I'm gonna deal with the engorgement pain if I can't find time to pump out there.
