my honey bun is only 2 weeks & straining to poop can someone tell me what's best for constipation at 2 weeks old?

@briie19 yeah I get formula with wic too! His doctor wrote a prescription so I had to take it to the wic office for them to change it!
My daughter has gotten down to pooping once a day. She also was switch to soy milk because her doctor said she feels she was lactose and tolerant.
@briiie19, Im on wic also, I'm not sure what formulas they approve but I'm going to check some out, I hope your babe feels better soon.
@k217 i get free formula with wic though! & i have Similac at the hospital & she used to poop none stop! i don't think it was advanced though
@arlogreyson, he was using the Gerber soothe up until about 2 weeks then he started straining to poop and very gassy , so his pediatrician changed his milk to Nutramigen and I haven't had a problem w/ that since & he's 3 months now! So that's good lol.
she started with that and was fine for maybe a week and then she started getting constipated so i asked her doctor and they said switch her to Similac Alimentum.
@briiie19, What formula is she on? @k217 @samanthacross218 what formula were you guys using? I have him on Similac Advance since he was born. I wonder if they're going to change his formula. Poor babies.
@k217, yeah my baby couldn't drink that milk at all. That's what they started him out with.
@k217 she's been on gerber soothe. for almost 2 weeks now..this just started..but i flip flop from formula & breast milk
@briiie19, yeah that's exactly how he was! & he use to cry non-stop until he used it. He's on a milk called Nutramigen , it might help if she does a milk change! But most def. call your doctor or call to the hospital and ask to speak to an on call pediatrician for their advice on what else you can do! I hated when my child went through it so I can feel your pain 😩
@k217 she only pooped twice today but she'll keep pushing & its gets really red trying & imma ask her doctor

i ended up having to switch my daughter to Similac Alimentum because she was like that..
My baby was like that at 2 weeks, his pediatrician changes his milk and I haven't had a problem since then!
@mommy_faith yea i don't want to give her anything! especially this young she's just so fussy but ill try it

I'm having the same problem - people suggested a lot of things, but I'm going to wait until his appointment Tuesday. It's so sad to watch.
At that age, I would just try pumping her legs like a bicycle and giving a light tummy massage. Always ask your doctor before giving her anything, especially that young.
