When did you start giving your little one juice or water out either a bottle or sippy cup?

my son almost a 8months old and am trying to get him familiar with a bottle or a sippy cup so when grandma watch him and his phn said water since he seems to hate the formula

I just started giving my daughter juice and water she is almost 11 months she won't drink much water but she sucks down the juice but I got the ok from her Dr to have those

My son is 8 months and I give him a sippy cup with about 3 oz of water and he just sucks on it throughout the day.
