Getting really fed up with my moms attitude towards me having a baby. She wasn't thrilled to begin with when I told her I was pregnant and tried pushing me towards an abortion even after I put my foot down. I've kicked her out since because of her lack of support in my pregnancy. Even when I talk to her she tries to separate herself from conversations where I bring up the baby. She switches the subject to herself or tries to say "well wouldn't you want something yourself instead." She even will sit on her ass and watch me clean and cook and won't do anything until I flat out say "you're not pregnant you should be doing this." I can't hardly be around her anymore and I don't know how much I'll want her around the baby, if at all when he's born.

i wonder why.. That's crazy! Even mom's that don't like the idea usually warm up to it the end anyway!! im sorry you're going through that!

She says financial reasons but I think it's really lack of faith in my relationship with my fiancé she's afraid he'll leave and she'll be stuck taking care of me and the baby.

Fact of it is she can't even take care of herself much less anyone else which is why I kicked her out of my apartment. I think she's more afraid that I won't be around anymore and help with her needs anyway you look at it its sad and selfish. @abelsmama16 @mygiftof2016

Maybe you can ask her. i know my mom said when i was having my first she was scared i wouldn't need her anymore....

I did, she told me financial reasons that she didn't think I could keep up with the costs of a baby. At the time I had a great job and my fiancé has a good job too. Granted I've since been fired but were figuring things out just fine without her. @mygiftof2016 She just doesn't want to be honest with me. Although I'm pretty sure it could be a similar reason to yours.

That's too bad, my mom wasn't too thrilled either when she first found out but now she's super excited and brings up the baby more than I do.. Maybe once he is here she will have a change of heart.. Wish you the best
