My first son was born at 40 weeks under 6 pounds and for the first few weeks he was too small for newborn clothes and diapers. My 29 weeker was way too small even for preemie clothes when he was born. You'll blink and your son will be too big for newborn clothes. It's crazy how fast they grow!
