Would it really be so bad to switch to formula 😔 how long did it take you mommies to get the hang of breastfeeding/when did your nipples stop being sore ? Also, what did you do to make them feel better ? At this point I'm ready to quit but I'm hoping I find a way to keep me going 😩
You need to see a lactation consultant immediately they are lifesavers. I have continual mastitis, blocked ducts and dealing with severe pain and frustration because my son couldn't latch due to a tongue and lip tie and here we are 3 months later and still breastfeeding! =D
Thank you ! I feel much better about it, you're right. I just have to fight through it so we can get back to having it right 👊 @alexislopez
@steppphh, it was a lot of work! I use to hold my boob in his mouth the entire time he fed so he would have a good latch, I tried putting him in the weirdest positions so he was comfy. My nipples hurt a little but I just sat through it bc I was really wanted to breastfeed. If it's something you want to do, have patience! It will get better the more you work on it. Remember both of you are doing something you've never done before, you both are learning. The first two weeks are the hardest! Good luck mama 💕
Really ? 😔 what do you think helped you the most in getting to the point where it wasn't bad anymore ? @alexislopez
After like 3 weeks it started to get a little easier for me, I'm going on 4 months and so glad I didn't give up even though I wanted to so bad
Yeah, I think I am but I don't know if I should keep feeding her like that while I get my appointment or what to do @kasieerin 🙁
Yes, I've been trying the football hold & what not & she looks like she's latching on perfectly but it still hurts 😞 like at the beginning it hurts a little then it goes away but after a while the longer she stays on there the more it starts hurting, I feel like her gums rub on them too much or something 😣I haven't tried rubbing milk though, just this nipple cream they gave me but I'll give it a try !@myliltadpole1116
I did use to go see a lactation consultant but I stopped seeing her like last Friday because everything was going perfect 😔 @kasieerin
Have u tried different positions? Football can be the best if ur having issues with correct latching and getting baby at the right angle. Before nursing I used to express milk and rub it onto the areola and it helps with the constant rubbing and friction. Also rub it on after and air dry. It will help heal and protect the tissue
You can do it 👍🏼
