Moms who had dogs during pregnancy or moms pregnant now with dogs. Did they seem to know you were pregnant before you did? My Great Pyrenees has started acting really weird and wanting to lay with me, on me, or has to be right up with me. He's never done this before and my bulldog always wants my attention but I've heard dogs know when you are. And the past week my boobs have been hurting a lot and I've been cramping some but it's gone away and I don't want to get my hopes up because if I got pregnant it would be a miracle but I don't know anymore...
mine did. they both started acting really weird and cautious with me and more clingy than usual.
Both my dogs did before I knew .. One has passed but I have one left and he's 8 .. I had cable guys show up and I found it odd he sat on my feet and wouldn't let me near them as they were upstairs .. I learned two weeks later I was pregnant even now he won't leave my side .. If my hubby talks loud or sits by me he's all up dividing us he wants no one to be close to me it's Funny back with my first two my other boxer just was clingy but not like this one .. He follows me to the tub and the toilet u name it
dogs typically can sense a change before you do... my dog still lays on my belly at 38 weeks.. I picked him out when I was 4 weeks pregnant and I didn't even know yet... he's grown up around a baby in my belly so I'm pretty sure he knows because he stays by me and watches me... and when my belly moves he cocks his head side to side looking at my belly... he knows there's something in there :)
I hear dogs can hear the movement inside the womb due to their keen canine sense of hearing and they can smell the difference in your hormone level...so I do believe they can sniff out a change in you for sure. Both our dogs a pug Russell and Staffyshire mix pit both after strange from the get go. Cheyenne my fiance's pug Russell started to constantly be super over possessive of him like she didn't want to share her master with me to begin with lol..started pooping on the floor instead of outside and every spot my fiance and I sat on the couch shed mark her territory.. it became such an issue that my last three months I had left before conceiving we had to rid her she got too aggressive like she really didn't want to share her master with the new baby in my belly! Then Kayah our Staffyshire pit she started to get anxiety really bad and needy and overprotective of me cause Cheyenne was acting aggressive towards me...shed snap at her..although she's still just a pup and Cheyenne is much older and usually puts her in her place...sad to say we had to give them both up cause the way they acted towards each other and us..We were afraid they may turn on our son when he was born😥so yes girl dogs cats they can sense your pregnant!
