Help me win a fight with my husband. Our daughter sucks her thumb and since she is only 7 weeks she can't get her fingers out of her face and eyes. He thinks she is going to stab herself in the eyes. I understand that can happen but I told him all children start off this way hands in face and eye while sucking her thumb. So can you send your pictures on how your baby sucks their thumb. Thank you

Heres one picture I have of her sucking on her finger. She usually sticks her entire fist in her mouth and makes herself gag. She's also scratches her face I usually just keep her nails short to fix that problem. Just wait until your little one discovers your fingers. My daughter grabs my fingers and puts them in her mouth and refuses to let go. I'm constantly covered in baby salvia.

@babynessa, my husband said eww!! Lol I don't mind baby saliva as long as it's my baby! Lol

I'm use to it by now lol. My husband is constantly saying ewww as well. Just because her saliva fell in his mouth once when he was playing airplane with her. He makes sure to pay attention when he does airplane so he can dodge it lol. @nykky779

So my baby is 8 weeks old and is thriving with weight gain each doctors visit. So here is my question: around 4-5 hours at night for sleep she wakes up every night and sucks on her thumb. (She finally this week likes it to soothe her during nap times) her eyes are still closed and she moves around and sucks it. I wake her to feed her. My question is should I just let it go? And see if she is just soothing herself to sleep? I don't want her to stave by morning if she sleep a couple of more hours. What would you guys do?

She already has one tooth at the bottom and I don't want her to be sucking them when the top ones come in. The doctor said it's a phase and it'll pass but I'm afraid she won't and spoil her teeth.
