Want type stuff and had no understanding or respect for being married

@caidynsmommy22, it's sucks! I have no other friends here really. I just want girl friends who are married who understand that I'm not going to be going out every night to bars and concerts getting drunk. Like can't we have fun going out to dinner or maybe having a glass of wine and watching a movie together or something? I'm about to have a baby. I'm not interested in a party life.

@mrsthig, looking for a new mommy friend? Lol. Exactly though! I've been the more maternal one in my friend group too but it's been years of the same friendships and it's just annoying to me that I'm not the only one growing up here! Not to mention, my friends weren't like this when we first became friends, they were more tame like me. So it's just too much to handle now with a baby on the way. It's like this is not what I signed up for!

I feel a bit more distanced to my only real friend too, she is older than me (22) we don't live in the same country and our lives are going in totally different directions. She is married, but is mostly just enjoying the freedom and highly material lifestyle while I'm getting married tomorrow, moving to our new apartment tomorrow and getting ready to have our first child. We can chat anytime if you want 😊

@agastinamarie I know they're your friends and I'm sure they're lovely people, but you don't really need to keep having anyone whose influence you might not want anymore in your life. It sounds like it'd be stressful! I still keep contact with my friend, but we don't always have something to talk about anymore. What are your general interests? What kind of birth do you want for your baby? :)

@miicat, yes I'm starting to realize that a reevaluation of these friendships has to take place! It's is so stressful giving and giving and giving and never getting anything positive in return. Friendships should be each party bringing positivity to the table. I'm just drained. My general interests right now are just being with family and what not. I was a dancer my whole life but retired from that and became a runner right before getting pregnant but that's kindof been shut down for the time being. Lol. How about you?

@miicat, oh and I'm going for an all natural birth with a doula. I can't wait to get this baby girl out and in my arms!

@agastinamarie, Yeah you definitely don't wanna have a one sided contribution when it comes to friendships.. It's natural though. We grow, we change and our lives change and oftentimes that means our relationships change, too! Dancing! That's wonderful. I can relate with you on that now just being with my family and raising my future kids is taking the priority 😊 I used to draw a lot and sell my art, but I haven't been able to do anymore of it for almost a year now 😞 So I'm just focusing on growing this baby and establishing a balanced self and family life :) Wow all natural with a doula sounds amazing! I'm planning on having a natural home birth, searching for a midwife atm, it's pretty hard here in Finland, they don't react well to women who want to give birth at home. Nothing else is an option for me though, unless of course, something happens to go wrong. Really can't wait to hold my sweet boy either 😆
