yea it can do that if it's fresh. just keep doing what your doing. & Yea I wouldn't. just wipe belly button out with a dry q tip once it falls off & if you see like what looks like leftover pieces or scabs when it does fall off. let it be the belly button skin will actually grow over it.
My sons belly button had yellow stuff in the middle when it fell off. I took a clean q tip & wiped it up. I wouldn't use alcohol a lot of people say it reduces infection but new studies say it isn't needed it doesnt help ot harm it. just a clean q tip it suffice.
Okay thank you both @hart.momma @thatmomlyfe16 & yeah the top is off and the bottom is on but I can see in the middle & it's like yellow. It doesn't smell bad, & obviously it does hurt her when I touch it because she didn't even budge but I'll definitely call her pediatrician in the morning.
My sons was like that & pedi said it was fine. It was just red because it didn't fall off all at once, one side was hanging on, while other was off so it was pulling at it. I would take him in, if the redness gets worse.

it's still attached and I actually think it reattached a little lol it looks way better & yeah my doc said don't use alcohol or Neosporin @mommyrai

that looks like it might be infected. I would get it checked out since it it red around it
