Ok, so I am unfortunately on state insurance temporarily, and will be until September.
My mom had to put me on state insurance for emergency care when I was a kid, so my insurance card is in my maiden name automatically. I, of course, want it changed to my married name - but everytime I try to get that accomplished I get the run around.
If I give birth with my name unchanged on my insurance card, will I be listed under that name on the birth certificate?
your child's name, your name and your husbands name are not determined by the insurance you have. my maiden name is still on my insurance card and I've been legally married for almost 4 years. it has nothing to do with insurance what you legal name is
yep, insurance was under my husband and my last name shows as his. on our birth certificates up here it notated us being married as the children being born IN wedlock as opposed to being born OUT of wedlock.
hmm @mamamj - even insurance was under your married name?
But will I show up as the name on my id or my insurance?
You can put whatever name you want him to have on the paper you fill out for the birth certificate.
i just want the birth certificate to show we were married I guess lol
ok, I'm not sure how it is here in Ky... we've been married since August of last year so all of my info is changed to his last name - ID, social etc
my maiden name is on all my kids birth certificates even though everything is legally under my married last name. might just be the way north Dakota does it, not sure.
Mel liahelocin, I know here in NC they just give you a paper and honestly you have to sign your name as it is but you could give your baby any last name. Of course my boyfriend/fiancé lost his wallet in the hospital so he couldn't sign the birth certificate without an ID but I was able to put his last name regardless of mine or him not signing the certificate
on my kids birth certificate my maiden name went on there not my husband last name and my ssc and everything have my husband last name.
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...
Science!
My friend posted this on facebook last night and said her kids were asleep within minutes. It's a song that scientists created to help people fall asleep. I was skeptical but I thought what the hay, I'll try it out. I didn't bank on Dh falling asleep, but both him and lo were asleep by minute 2. And lo slept six straight hours. ?
Starting TWW. Anyone else?
I had a stillborn daughter at 38 weeks this passed Nov. This is my second month ttc. (Last month we only tried for like two weeks though). My last and only pregnancy, I got pregnant the first month of ttc so I hope it's quick this time again.
ok, so it sounds like the certificate will be ok then. I finally just went ahead and called the hospital to check - no one is really sure if it will be an issue or not lol
