Okay mommy friends, I need a little advice. Looking for moms who have been through this or similar situations before.

I had to be induced at 37 weeks due to preeclampsia and my little one not growing anymore. I also had GBS (Strep B). I had to have six rounds of Penicillin throughout my whole delivery to ensure she did not get the GBS. After 24 hours of being born, my little one had develop pretty high jaundice levels. We did phototherapy, it went down to an acceptable level and we went home. Then at the two day follow up, it has skyrocketed again. We got readmitted, did more phototherapy, got sent home again. At the one day follow up, it has skyrocketed again. We got readmitted and they checked for more reasons. At about a week old, her blood cell count was around 40. The doctor at the time said that was fine. A week later, after the bilirubin level not going down and a ton of phototherapy, she was looking pale. A new doctor came in and asked how long she had been pale. We ran another blood count and it was down to 15 and hemoglobin was at 5. She had to get a blood transfusion and transferred to ECU to see a hematology specialist. She was severely anemic. After a few days, and more phototherapy, her hemoglobin levels were up to 9.5. They let us go home. After a week, it went down to 8.1, then 7.8 then another week, 7.3. We did another transfusion. After a week, it was up to 11.5. The next week it had went down to 9.8. We have a one month follow up on August 9 but they said I could get it tested again before then if I was concerned. This is where I need some advice

Signs of anemia are paleness, sleepiness, dark urine, jaundice or yellowing, lack of appetite. She just turned 9 weeks old today and the past two days she has been sleeping so much! I can barely get her to stay up an hour or more during the day. She slept for 6.5 hours last night, which she has never done. Her dad and I are super pale so she is pretty white in general but I can't say she is anymore white than usual. She's eating fine and her urine looks fine.

Could this just be a growth spurt or should I go get her tested? She clots really badly and they struggle to get a vein every time, so I prefer not to stick her if we don't have to.

Sorry for the long post!
