So my baby is 8 weeks old and is thriving with weight gain each doctors visit. So here is my question: around 4-5 hours at night for sleep she wakes up every night and sucks on her thumb. (She finally this week likes it to soothe her during nap times) her eyes are still closed and she moves around and sucks it. I wake her to feed her. My question is should I just let it go? And see if she is just soothing herself to sleep? I don't want her to stave by morning if she sleep a couple of more hours. What would you guys do?
That gives me hope! Two more months. Lol I wish my daughter was more like me and loves to sleep at night!! Hopefully last night wasn't a fluke and she wants to sleep longer.
I go back officially on the 15. They have me filling in for a teacher 2 days the week before. I got a new job a head teacher to a toddler classroom. If I did not get this job I couldn't afford childcare . They want $270 a week! Good thing they offer 1/2 price.
I got her back to sleep at 7 and she is still sleeping. I am going to miss these lazy mornings when I go back to work!@mrsthig
@theinkedmommy, @mrsthig FYI: boobs are like rocks and now they itch. Note to self with next child, breastfeed until you die!!
Holy shit she slept until 6 a.m. What the fuck! I should have went to bed earlier!! lol
Ok ok goodnight ladies!! Let's just pray I don't rip out my boobs by tomorrow morning! Oh and my baby sleeps for more then 4 hours!! Lol
@mrsthig @theinkedmommy
@mrsthig, you got me all excited about having my daughter sleep! So I figure she won't won't wake up until 9!! 😭😭😭wishful thinking!!
@theinkedmommy, I have been looking it up. I did call the doctor she said the cabbage leaves and basically suck it up it will be like this for a while.
I can't deal with the not knowing what she wants or why she is crying and no sleep. Granted she is allowing me sleep now I choose not to go to bed! Lol@mrsthig
I have the cabbage leaves in and I am dying. I have no patience for this shit. I am definitely an on demand type person. If it isn't now I can't be bothered. I don't know how in the world I waited 2 years to get pregnant and 9 months to deliver. And yes I can't wait until the newborn stage is over and my baby isn't a baby. I can't wait until she is at least walking and talking.
Maybe this why we don't get enough sleep! We are supposed to sleep when the baby sleeps but we are too busy poking and feeling for breath! Lol My baby is asleep now. I should be asleep also but I am in so much pain. I am trying to stop cold turkey pumping. I was down to two pumps a day anyway and I start work in a few weeks. So I figure I would get a jump start on it now. If you guys have any advise. (Besides get now boobs) that would be great the pain is unbearable. But i know it won't last forever. (Hopefully) @mrsthig @theinkedmommy
It is definitely easier to stalk them in the same room. I put my hand on her chest before I go to bed too! @theinkedmommy
I have a great monitor story. When we first brought her home. I have been sleeping in the spare room with her and my husband sleeps in our room. (It works out because he is working and I am not at the moment) anyway he was scared of SIDS that he had the monitor on in his room. I told him if anything happens I am in the room. Well finally after 2 weeks of him not sleeping he had to stop with the monitor. I love the fact he wanted to watch her too but he was way over board. It is funny to us now because it was so ridiculous. @theinkedmommy
I thought I was going to have sleep in her crib by now. But the thought of her not in the same room I am not ready. We would probably sleep better if I wasn't on top of her. Lol @theinkedmommy
@theinkedmommy, I don't think I will comfortable until she can roll over.
I will try it! Maybe she will sleep more. It just sucks that we are in the same room and she sucks her thumb like a child slurping spaghetti!!! Thank you @mrsthig
I'm in the one to two year old room.
