I use a bassinet until baby is too big for it and move them to the crib. Unfortunately, my first son never slept in the crib. we think it was just too big compared to the bassinet and he felt insecure so we had him in the pack n play. With this baby we purchased a much bigger bassinet and plan to move him over sooner.

im on my 4th child... & I'd say a bassinet till baby is older but everyone has their own preferences
