Someone told me 37 weeks is near term and 38 is full lol I be confused

It's not that i know more. We all know different things when it comes to different subjects. I am not a doctor but i am a labor professional and i try to empower end educate women regarding their pregnancy amd birth. Sometimes my wealth of information comes off in the wrong way but i chose my parh because i genuinely care for other women and their babies. I want nothing more but for us to have healthy babies and amazing births. I'm glad i could share this knowledge with you and i hope your next few weeks goes by quickly

Just because your doctor says so doesn't make it fact. They simple fact that he/she induces for no medical reason should show they aren't experts @lovingmydaughter

Early term means that if the baby is born at this point, there is likely to be no issues and baby will be healthy and fine. Scientific studies have proven that the baby is not fully developed as far as their brain etc until 39 to 40 weeks. So in reality the doctor does not decide what is full term, it is the facts that show when a baby is actually fully developed. However, like i mentioned....37 to 38 is still term....it's just early term.

@arivera64, I know for a fact 37-38 isn't early term my Dr has been an obgyn for yrs inducing women at 38 weeks with or without complications ...

Babies do best and really thrive from staying in the womb for 39 weeks

Every Dr has their own time Frame mine considers 37 weeks full term but all Drs are different
