When your baby was born, has anyone had uninterrupted skin to skin time? debating on doing this just want to know a…

I learned about this in child birth class the other day and I am very interested in both

what is that? at my hospital my baby was put straight on my chest. they even cleaned her off on me and they didn't come to get her measurements or take her from me until like 3 hrs after I had her because they wanted her on my skin and do her first feeding. is that kinda what it is?

Yes we did both. She was put on my chest immediately and latched really well. When she came out they let me hold onto the cord until it stopped pulsing! It was so cool! Idk if it made the difference but she's attached to me like no other (obviously) and she's so smart and huge!

We did this when my son was born. I asked for it in my birth plan, but it was actually standard procedure for the hospital I delivered at. They do skin to skin for a minimum of an hour & they waited 3 minutes to cut the cord. I was so thankful for both & would recommend it to anyone! My boyfriend still cut the cord, they just waited a few minutes & then after they cut it they told me to try and nurse him & he latched on right away!

this was taken right before they took him (he pooped in the blanket that was covering his legs and private) to get weighed. we had immediate skin to skin after being born; he even ate on both sides before being taken away to get weighed.

I wanted to do that with my daughter but i couldbt because she pooped in the sack and when she started coming out the cord was round her neck. so her safety was first priority. im hoping to be able to with this one

I was only able to do the delayed cord clamping for a min because the cord was too short 😌😞🙁but we did skin to skin for awhile!
