TMI!!! sorry about this but has anyone got thrush during pregnancy? ive got it really bad n its really sore and all my fairy has swelled up is this normal?
thank you all for responding i think im gunna ring docs in morning to try and get an appointment or a prescription if not am gunna have to buy something because its so annoying its making me depressed i dread going to the toilet @jod1303 @cupcake107 xx
@graciesmummy, i gt it frm pharmacist. my drs a nightmare!! xx
@graciesmummy, that's definitely a good idea. I tried to buy some from a pharmacy and they wouldn't sell it to me because I was pregnant so at least if you go to a doctor or nurse they can give you what they think is best
might do that then it seems like the safest option to see someone then get it prescribed by a professional then i know its safe thank you @cupcake107
I had thrush at around 16 weeks and I went to the nurse at my GP and she prescribed it (might as well make the most of your free prescriptions!) I had the cream and the pessary and seemed to clear it up in a few days. OH had to use the cream too just in case @graciesmummy
can i get one over the counter or do i have to ask doctor? @robotunicorn xx
It's like a tablet you insert into your vajayjay and leave it over night then you use the cream for the external itching @graciesmummy
what is the pessary? n i will try anything honestly its so sore and itchy!! @jod1303 @robotunicorn x
I had thrush at the start of second trimester it was horrible! Canestan duo with the pessary worked for me and haven't had it since xx
i always thought oral wasnt as safe as pessary? i use pessary bought canestan duo today pessary n cream for 11£ xx
Thats ok yh check with her first i suppose diff midwifes say its ok for diff stuff so deffo check, but i had protein in my wee and have been dehydrated she said i could have infection and when i said i was sore down there and thought it was thrush she said go get the oral tablet best way and quickest way to treat it xx
that sounds like a dream come true haa im going to ring midwife tomorrow to get the green light then al go buy one thank you @safiamammy1 x
Yh i was feeling the same, i dont take anything during pregnancies but i always found the pessary for inside didnt help and made me feel uncomfortable so when mw said she recomended it i went and got it straight away, it worked for me so i woukd deffo take it again, the canestan pill is about £15 so i opted for the cheaper version think u just pay for the name with the other brand x
It was called fluconazole, u can get them cheap off amazon or ebay if ur not out and about to get to a chemist x pharmacist did say ask doc if u can take but when i said midwife had said i should take it he sold me it x
thats great news i need something or i think im gunna go mental @safiamammy1 xx
I just bought the cheaper version let me find the name 1 sec x it was £4 i think or less just at a little chemist x
how much are they? ive been using the cream but it burns when i put it on n doesnt seem to be going @safiamammy1 xx
Yes i had it with each pregnancy i had it last week too, midwife told me to get an over counter oral pill as ita the quickest way to treat it and the canesten cream for the itching down below, i said i didnt think it was safe to tke in pregnancy but she said it was fine as with all meds they say check with a professional, so i took it last tuesday and its cleared up a treat, u can also use natural yogurt, use a syringe and put some up inside not loads but it helps the soreness and itchyneas xx

Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...

I had a stillborn daughter at 38 weeks this passed Nov. This is my second month ttc. (Last month we only tried for like two weeks though). My last and only pregnancy, I got pregnant the first month of ttc so I hope it's quick this time again.

A Statement from Mom.Life:
Hey everyone!
Last night, a new user began messaging our moms asking for private pictures of toddlers and young children. This is obviously unacceptable behavior, and the account was banned immediately. Although thankfully extremely rare on Mom.Life, several users were understandably upset by this, so we wanted to clarify a few things:
First off, Mom.Life has an absolute zero tolerance policy for child abuse and those who would prey on children. We strive to ...
