My docs faxed everything over to the place that was gonna give wit to me but then she didn't even bother to call me to tell me they aren't providing them anymore. I was so pissed ugh 🙄

@vivalakats, yeah it's ridiculous.. Im calling tomorrow to get my midwife to fax over her stuff, and then I can try again.. If not, I'll be buying one off amazon. Lol I'm really fed up with it also..

Told you. 1 month after giving birth and i am still trying to get 1. No place takes my insurance and then the one that did I called yesterday and she tells me they no longer are providing breast pumps. Like she couldn't even call me to tell me. I'm so fed up although the pump would be free through insurance that I'm just planning on buying one tmm.

@lilysita11, yeah. I guess I just gotta get my doctor to fax them the medical reason and prescription tomorrow. It's just stupid because the guy I spoke to yesterday said I just needed a prescription... So I got the prescription today and then the lady I talked to said that the doctor had to fax it over. Lol. Like these people don't know what they're doing!! 😡 and no. I don't have wic. I'll see how it goes tomorrow. My midwives are for breast feeding, so I know they'll do what they can to help me out.

I got it from edge park my doctor gave me an auth they faxed it to the insurance and got approved and I received it u know the WIC ask me if I need one do u have WIC?

@klove2016, sorry ur going thur that i would complain to a supervisor or something cuz they want us to do breast feeding so it shouldnt be so hard to get it.

And the insurance company needs my midwife to fax a prescription to them to get pre approved

What breast pump company did you use? @lilysita11 because I've tried edge park and Aeroflow and both say they don't take it

I have medicaid with united healthcare community plan

I have it through Medicaid and apparently Medicaid doesn't cover them unless medically necessary. :-(

@lilysita11, do you have united healthcare community plan? Or through a job or other source?

I dint have any problem getting mine and i have united.

@klove2016, for real. It's complete bullsh*t. Like any normal pregnant woman can handle that kind of stress to begin with. I'm very happy you had a good pregnancy because this has not been fun and as much as everyone says to enjoy it it's been hard to and super frustrating and emotional. I know what you mean about jumping hoops and everyone thinking you are looking for a money hand out. These doctors 90% of them get paid because of Medicaid and Medicare patients. I feel like They could careless about their patients under these insurance programs. Even regular insurance companies are all about money. It's sad. I hope you get your pump. That's probably my next hurdle after baby girl is here in less than 6 weeks.

@sophia713, yeah.. I'm on the community plan through Medicaid.. And with United health care in Florida, they don't approve it unless it's medically necessary. But now that I have a prescription for it from my doctor, they're making me jump through more hoops!

@lindsey89, for real!!! That's crazy they're playing around with your health like that.. Not good at all 😣 hope they get their shit together!! But yeah.. I'm grateful I've had good prenatal care, and a normal pregnancy.. Or I feel I'd just loose it. I just don't understand how some people can get a breast pump through the same insurance as me, but I can't seem to get one!! It's aggravating. I'm just agreeing with you about how horrible United healthcare is. I was just diagnosed with gestational diabetes. I am high risk and have not had the easiest pregnancy. I have been out of blood sugar testing supplies for 4 days now and am still fighting with my doctors and my insurance to get the strips. I only a have a few weeks left and since they dx me late (their fault, not mine) I shouldn't have to be dealing with the added stress. Also feel like since I am on Medicaid I get treated a lot differently like I just talked to my primary OB and she's like "you do know you can purchase the strips over the counter" no I can not they are extremely expensive $180 for 100 of them (25 day supply) she was like "you don't even have $15" no I'm about to have a baby and we have a lot going on remodeling the house and it's none of her business what my financials are. No body has that kind of money-am I right. Let me explain the situation before you try hanging up on me please. I've been trying to do this for 6 days so I wouldn't be in this situation and out of supplies. I'm about to cry. Trying to get something approved is a joke.

I've tried several times through edge park, and through my insurance. They just keep telling me that I need a prescription because it doesn't cover one. So I get a prescription today for one, and now the insurance company says they need my doctor or midwife to fax them a letter asking for pre approval.. Its ridiculous
