My daughter is 4 weeks old and I want to get her ears pierced in the next 2 weeks which will make her 6 weeks old. IDK WHAT TO DO!!!!
try a tattoo parlour, they usually have licensed piercers but fyi most are not comfortable with piercing babies because 1. they prefer the child to be aware of what's happening 2. babies have a higher sensitivity to metal so there's more of a risk for infection/rejection or allergic reaction. this route likely will be hard to find someone so it may be easier to have a doctor to do it. I know it's not as convenient as going to a stand at the mall but it is much cleaner and safer plus your daughter will thank you later for getting her ears pierced properly- the gun really is the worst way I had my ears pierced that way twice when I was 10 and 11 both times got infected I haven't worn earrings since I'm 24 years old now one of my ears has finally healed but I still am dealing with issues on the other one @fabulousmommieof2
if you're going to pierce her ears do it through a real piercer or a doctor as @amaperalta03 suggested. do not have it done at a Claire's or some other unlicensed non-professional. also you want it to be done with an actual needle not the gun, the gun will obliterate the skin tissue of the lobe causing long-term permanent damage
The earliest is at 6 weeks. Try to find a pediatrician that can do it so you know it's a safe and clean environment.
Oh ok, I keep getting told 3 months but I definitely can get then done at 2 months? @tyeishaaa
my daughter turned 2 months last sunday and I got them done Wednesday.some may say wait till they 3 months but it's all up to you
