Has anyone ever dealt with a decaying tooth while pregnant? If so, what did the dentist do? I have one that is completely decayed an I am in so much pain!

yeah i was eating breakfast and hit my tooth the wrong way and i was rolling around my bed in pain. this happened on a Saturday so i went to the ER and all they did was give me meds and antibiotics in case i had an infection. i didnt take the antibiotics but i did take the meds. then on that monday i went to a dentist and all of that. go ahead and set urself up with a dentist or oral surgeon asap they will have to pull it bc its stressing u and the baby
@mrsnewman10511, I know my nerve is exposed because everytime I touch my tooth, it's like it sends a shock thru my body. It hurts so bad!
i had a tooth that broke and exposed a nerve around 20 weeks and the dentist referred me to an oral surgeon who did local anesthetic and pulled it out.
I don't have an actual dentist because I don't have insurance :(
i dont think the dentist will actually do anything by you being so far in pregnancy. but who knows i will check with my Doctor though even if u have to call and ask
Call your dentist in the morning and go to the ER if they can't get you in
I think I might end up going to the er because I read online if it's infected, it can harm the baby especially with me being 36 weeks. Idk what to do, I just want this pain to stop :(
Just had this same problem and I went to the ER and they gave me antibiotic and Tylenol for pain the dentist told me they wouldn't be able to pull it either!!
