What do Braxton Hicks feel like? And is it even possible for me to feel them this early? 23 weeks tomorrow.

Braxton hicks most of the time you can't feel.

At all? I literally just had the WORST sharp pains in my lower abdomen while swimming. Only while I was swimming though. I had to bend over it got so bad. Do you know what that could have been? @lacycombs

Some Braxton hicks hurt! Lemme tell ya lol I'm 37 weeks and the other night I had them off and on for 3 hours hurt so bad i was crying! Thought I was goin into labor, went to hospital, they said it was Braxton hicks.

yes but the difference between a bh and real contraction is if you switch positions and it goes away it's nothing if you switch and it's still there it's real

Oh ok. Yeah it lasted for about 10 minutes then never did it again. That was the very first time I've ever felt that and I'm a ftm and have no idea what to expect. Lol @michelle2220

if you notice cramping with blood or even blood go in right away don't hesitate

There wasn't any blood but where I've never experienced it, I freaked out a little bit not knowing what it was. @michelle2220

I thought BH didn't last but like 30 seconds or so. I get something very similar to what you experienced @babyeaston191 but was told it juat ligament pain. it's like sharp crampy pains. if I turn over a certain way in bed or while sitting, I get them. 😕 It's awful.

I couldn't even stand up in the water @kdchaos I literally had to bend over but still felt them just not as bad. Idk what it was. When you get your sharp pains, how long does it last? I know I get sharp pains when I get up or turn over too fast usually on my right side but it's always in my lower abdomen and it happens so quick but it even done that before I was pregnant. This pain seemed like it was all over my lower abdomen and was consistent for about 10 minutes and it was so hard to breathe, it seemed like if I would take a breath, talk or laugh, the pain would become more intense.

Maybe your baby is just pushing on a nerve or something? Mine does and it takes my breathe away for as long as 30 minutes sometimes but she usually gets up in my ribs and back and does it. When that happens I have to do whatever I can to get her to move to get some relief. As for the sharp pains, it really depends. Sometimes I turn in my sleep and it wakes me up from the pain which I feel on either side. It doesn't last 10 minutes I don't believe. Everyone tells me I will know when I have BH contractions and my whole stomach will get hard but I've never had them before. It could be so many different things lol as long as there is no blood and it isn't severe, I wouldn't worry. Even though every little thing is scary lol

@kdchaos, Braxton hix can last longer then 30 sec mine last up to 4 mins
