Is it really so selfish of me that I need my boyfriend to miss work to attend my birthing class with me? And it's been planned for weeks and talked about multiple times! Am I really being selfish because out of everything else in this pregnancy I've done alone, I ask him to at least attend birthing class?

If it's his child, he needs to be there. If you planned it ahead of time and he knew about it, he should have requested off then.

it's not even an official job! under the table moving company stuff, they call him when they need him to work. he has no obligation to go other than he wants to make $60.
