Breast feeding is more difficult than I imagined it to be. Atleast for my breast it is.

It's hard, the first month is the hardest then usually it gets easier as your nipples get used to the abuse so to speak lol. Just remember you are doing your best and that's all we can do :) good job mama!

I'm going through the engorge stage and my left breast is 10x bigger and harder than the right. My breast and nipples are so raw and sore that I want to cry. I even use a nipple shield to make sure she latches good. I wish it was easier than this in the beginning.

For the engorgement if you have a pump use it just until it feels relieved, dont empty the breast though. And if you don't have any you should look into nipple cream, that stuff was my life when I started bf. You're doing great

@girlmommy, yeah I use nipple cream and will pump to get some comfort. I've been putting warm wash clothes on them when gorged. But they still get rock hard and are still unbearably painful. I go into my first appointment to see the milk lactation specialist so hopefully she can help since I'm very very new to this all

Lactation consultants are amazing, let me know how it goes :) when your breasts get that engorged sometimes they recommend taking a luke warm shower and expressing the milk out. I hope it starts to get easier for you hun.
