I changed my daughters milk yesterday from normal cow&gate; to cow&gate; comfort and ever since she's only taking 30-60ml at a time when she normally takes 120-150ml in just one feed. This worries me a bit..

Could be until she gets used to it maybe? Xx

I don't know 😕 I changed it because she keeps getting constipated @stacey804

How long does she go between poos? I seen the health visitor this week to get my little man weighed and I was worried about his bowel movements because he can go over a day or 2 days without having anything. She just said it's normal for baby's who are formula fed to not go for a few days at a time. Still doesn't stop me worrying though. Xx

It can take their little bellies a long time to adjust to different milks. I changed my little girl from aptamil normal milk to hungry milk with no problem but then changed her to follow on milk and it upset her tummy. Formula is know to cause bad constipation and some times my little boy will go a day without going to the toilet too @daisysmummy @stacey804 xx

Instead of changing it I was told to give eater in between feeds and it has help so much!!

I had to put the next size teat on when I changed my daughter to comfort. It's a much thicker formula so she was having to sook a lot harder and was tiring quicker. @daisysmummy

@daisysmummy I think the formula is thicker so may just be filling her up faster than the other (so maybe why she is taking less) Babies go through periods where they drink less...and then drink more..but as long as she is steadily putting on weight. I wouldn't worry hun xxx

@daisysmummy, my LG is a month old and has constipation. my doctor and health visitor told me to give her cooled boiled water between feeds. cooled boiled water won't harm them it's tap water and bottles water to try avoid as it's something to do with the minerals or something.
Rachael·
@daisysmummy, no it won't kill them as long as it's boiled water that's been cooled down
