is the every 3 month shot a good birth control? does it stop your period? did you have any problems…

works different for everyone. I was on it, worked not getting me pregnant... but my period was crazy I would get it for like 3 weeks. sometimes even more. I'm a medical assistant and I've seen it work for a lot of people and some people hate it.

The depo shot? I got it in high school gained a little weight, had my period for 3 months straight, then didn't have a period for a year! Stop taking it and I got pregnant a year later!

same ^ I was off of it for about 10-12months before able to get pregnant

my story is the same as @olliesmommy21. I will be going bk to it after baby comes..Never had a single issue

I actually had two friends get it regularly and on time and still end up pregnant on it. Also had another friend have a really bad reaction.

I gained a lot of weight ! And it was such a hassle going to the doc every 3 months ! I got the nexplanon and I loved it stopped my period and everything and it last for 3 years !

is that the one where they put it in your uterus ? i think the one im talking about lasts for up to 5 yrs tho

I got mine there 😂😂 and when I asked about it ( because it has to be safe while I breastfeed ) she said yeah that it's safe @janae_ something to think about ! Especially if you don't have insurance after you have the baby, you get it for 3 years and your good tell you need another one
