most doctors don't do that when it comes to babies under 6 months unless its actual surgery but I hope he won't have to go through that
My son is going to be 3 months by the time he gets it snipped I told he might have to be put under I'm terrified of that @mazeyy09
it was quick. My SO held him and the doctor out oragel on the area and opened his mouth and clip it then put pressure on it after. he didn't bleed that much. I would get some baby Tylenol once the numbness wears off he might feel some pain. Right after they applied pressure I gave him a bottle they said it helps stop the bleeding. He will be really fussy for a few days because its still new to him. It's been difficult for him to take the pacifier like he used to but he takes the bottle and the boob way better
She was not put under at all! It was a quick snip and solder, baby cries, and you can nurse immediately! That's how it went for us.
That's the earliest appointment we got with the specialist I'm afraid he might get put under. Really? I was told he wasn't allowed to eat anything 2 hours after the procedure @patti28
Why wait so long? I went to help my sister out and turns out I cried and she didn't! She was the mommy! But it was quick and right after you can pickup baby and even nurse immediately @mrs.medrano
Oh my goodness how did that happen?. My son is schedule in September but for now I have to deal with the sore nipples he gets really frustrated and pulls the so hard @ashalay88
My son is schedule to get both snipped in September he had a really hard time latching on and now he's killing my nipples 😁. I'm scared of the procedure I don't want to see my baby in pain @patti28
Yes, it is very painful, mostly on the left though (that nipple is inverted). Right now we are healing his broken arm (happened during birth) and once that's on the mend they are going to clip his ties. I'm hoping it gets better, because it's stressful for both of us.
My sisters baby did. She was born in February and I went with her to the doctor to have the lip AND tongue ties clipped... Wasn't too bad and baby seemed fine within hours of being fussy. She breast feeds much better now!
So does my son. Is breastfeeding painful for you? @ashalay88
