Like @juliakoren said they shouldn't leave any part of your placenta in there. Did you have your baby naturally or c-section. I had my son c-section and I had clots after.

Maybe you should call your Dr then just to be safe. Was it a blood clot maybe?

last night I had something come out,  but it wasn't just post partem bleeding. Bigger than a golf ball and some what hard.

They shouldn't leave any of your placenta in, that could make you very sick.
