My thing is we barely were able to get this house due to credit. So I'm lucky we have it I don't want to sell it and if my mom passes after a year and have no where to go

I agree with @rhia the ppl that rented my stepdads house before us had not paid any rent in about 6 months and when they were told to move out they left the house a total mess. Trash, clothes, toys, food everywhere. It in my opinion it is not worth it to keep it but it could potentially be some extra income.

I'm in Texas and some houses near me go for 1600. I think I'm going to go talk to a realtor who's a family friend my house is 3 bed 2 bath we remodeled it. And it's about 1450 square feet. I just don't know

Just be very picky on who you rent to.

Really depends on where you are living and what not we lived in Nc in a mobile home about 6 years ago paid 750 then rented a duplex for 800 that was 2 bedroom 1 bath now living in my stepdads house in tx 3 bed 2 bath for 1000 but I know for a fact that is a huge discount you want to be able to pay the property taxes and still save just incase something expensive breaks down

Idk if this helps but every house I have rented we were responsible for the utilities and the owner would be responsible for if anything went out like the Ac unit, refrigerator, ect.
