when the thought of a baby shower sends you into a depression. My support system sucks and I dont have family or friends. So I dont even want to have one. Everyone that would come are going to be my mom's church friends and my SO friends. (none are mutual friends). ugh just want the day to come and go. sad but true story

i made my own shower 4 people showed counting my mom... I paid for it all paid 30$ for a big ass cake that nobody ate

@serenity1987, I don't have any support system. I don't even have parents. I spent $1600 on a baby shower and got three gift bags. And got a cake that no one ate. I'm still devastated about it.

@custom_cutie, that's my fear. but i also know people will show but not in support of my baby byt to be nosey and see who my childs father is. I disliks phony people. i hsve prayed on it and hope its a day of joy not sadness

@serenity1987, I swear exact situation... Smh the five people that showed up didn't show up for me ... They showed up for my husband.. And brought nothing. After the devastating shower. I cried for two weeks. I'm still extremely upset about it. I've cut everyone one off completely. Because no one genuinely cares about me or the baby... I don't even have anyone coming to the hospital to see the baby.

@custom_cutie, girl to make matters my mom who i donthave a "real" relationship with. dosnt want the baby dad there. she says ita because men not suppose to go. my thing is yhis is his first child and he has been to every appointment, he helps with my two oldest, he treats me good and works! she hates to see me finally happy. so that makes me etra sad. i have no friends and no one to turn too

@serenity1987, my mom was the same way she said if your going to have a guy stare in your eyes I'm not helping. I haven't spoke to my mom since 2008 and could careless where she's at. My kids don't even know her. I honestly think she is jealous because she couldn't keep a relationship with my dad and my kids have a dad. She's even tried to sabatoge my relationship....
