does a pregnancy test go by your last period or is that just the doctor ???!!

The doctor :) Although they arent always right...My auntie had her period every month as mormal when pregnant with her son...Think my sister was telling me yesterday....that when pregnant...she didnt know as she had a period just like as she would.but then missed the next period...she was around 6 weeks when she found out xxx
