I'm getting my membranes stripped in 5 hours and I'm FREAKING OUT! Everyone tells me how bad it hurts and I'm terrified. I hope it works though. :)
What did you do to feed into the contractions?? @kbugandajsmommy how long after did you go into labor after the membrane sweep?
that's what I would do! @camdenjcomingsoon not a real slow walk.. just a good steady pace
So go for a walk after I get it done? @kbugandajsmommy and @hayesmommy at least it won't hurt as bad as labor ;)
I think everyone is different bc it didn't hurt me at all. It's not the most comfortable thing in the world but it's bearable.
well it really depends on how your body reacts to it. when you have it done you need to do things to help get your contractions going. after you get it done you will cramp. what I done was just feed into the cramping and it started contractions! it feels like your being checked but being checked by the hulk! lol basically only way I know how you describe how it feels @camdenjcomingsoon
Is it worth getting it done you think? I'm due tomorrow the 21st and can't be induced until 41 weeks. I was going to try and go natural but I didn't know if it really hurt as bad as people say... What does it feel like? @kbugandajsmommy
well with my daughter I had the membrane sweep afterwards I went home walked up and down stairs at a good pace and bounced on a big yoga ball had sex walked around the block and when I came home showered and sat on the yoga ball while eating dinner... when I finally laid down for the night I noticed my contractions were b getting closer together and stronger. went to L&D and was definitely having strong contractions but they sent me homw because I wasn't dilating. had my baby girl 4 days later
