How old was your baby when you first started introducing some baby food?
I gave her a teensy bit of cereal at first because she wasn't satisfied with her milk and wouldn't drink an oz more it was frustrating but it helped starting off with small amounts isn't bad also puréed carrots or pees with a bit of water is good
6 months. To be honest giving any food before 6 months strains the digestive system of an infant. They're bodies arent ready for food until then. We decided against giving ours cereal once we found out it doesn't really have any nutrients and it's really just a filler. It's best to introduce bland foods first like squash, peas, and carrots. And give a few days between new foods so you are able to tell if your LO has any food allergies or if something just doesn't agree with him/her. And even then If you have issues at first don't sweat it because food before a year is just for play! Also , could try adding a little of formula or breast milk to the purée / cereal so it tastes more familiar. We haven't had any issues at all with Lucas , he wants to eat everything he sees us eating and everything I put in front of him. But even so it's good to do it slowly. Just in case..
I did cereal at 4 months with the dr ok, the baby purees I started at 6 months, I always start with veggies then fruit.... my daughter hates the meats (she gags until she throws up), and will eat very few veggies, she eats almost all fruits tho
I fed my daughter baby cereal. She didn't know what to do with it at first. She's learning how to swallow it and once I feel like she knows what to do I'll introduce a veggie to her. She didn't get sick just makes her cut back on the amount of formula she drinks. @t1mom
@mimiz, @babynessa @iluvmyboyz What did you give? And how did they take it?
@t1mom, I started with rice cereal once a day with a spoon for a week then started peas and green beans gave each for 3 days a piece.
