Has anyone taken their 2 month old on a flight? I am going from California to Texas and since little miss is exclusivity breastfeeding, I need to take her with me. It's just me and the baby going. I'm a bit nervous to take the baby on a flight by self so any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!! @littlewillowsmommy
Yes! birth certificate. And call customer care beforehand and let them know your traveling with an infant
@littlewillowsmommy, do I need to bring any documentation for the baby? Like her birth certificate or something?
The base and the car seat count as one. Just make sure they are attached to each other when you check them. And no her car seat has never been damaged.
I am pretty decided on the fact that I am going to check the car seat only bc she hates being in. But since she is in an infant car seat, I would need to check the actual car seat and the base. Does that count as checking one item or two? Have you ever had your car seat damaged when you check it? @littlewillowsmommy
Hey! My daughter has been flying back and forth to Texas and California since she was 6 weeks and it's not bad at all. She basically sleeps the whole time when she was 2 months, she would occasionally wake up to eat but thats all. As for the airport, i would recommend Southwest Airlines. They let you take the stroller/carseat to the gate or check it with bags. I stopped taking the stroller/carseat to the gate because I would have to fold it up going through security. Southwest lets you check two bags per person and the stroller and carseat for free
Ok cool. Thanks! @2added4itslove
yes they let you check one out and they let you rent one from the airport car rental area if you don't want to check it at the terminal. Also her diaper bag and your purse don't count as a carry on :)
She hates being in her carseat so I am thinking i am just going to wear her in a carrier, but I know I will need the car seat when we get there obviously. Is it easy check a carseat? @2added4itslove
I took my then 2 month old from Illinois to California so yes you can . they can ride in your lap or you can get a ticket for them for their own seat. I did that and took his car seat with me like that.
No prob! :)
Thanks! @mamesey
