Sorry I have to rant here for a second.
I have said from the very beginning when I give birth I don't want anyone to be there except my SO and my sister. My SO mother said she would buy a plane ticket for the day of my induction and I don't mind her being there and I know that's the only person my SO would want there. I can't tell him no nor do I want to. So my grandmother is taking it all personal and saying she's hurt that I won't let people come visit while I'm in the hospital. She's making me feel bad because of it, like this is my child, my birth, and my choice who are you to tell me how I need to do things? Like accept it and come visit when we get home it's only a few days... Why can't people respect the fact that I'm going to need time to recoup and bond with my SO and new daughter. Ugh it makes me so mad!

We just went on the hospital tour on Sunday and I told me fiancé during, that I don't know how I'm going to feel about visitors at the time. I am scared about labor & delivery and don't know if it will be helpful to me to have lots of people there. Bottom line is, it's your body and your baby and people need to get over it. They will have many years to spend time with the baby!

I know! She's making me feel bad and trying to say his family is making me shut them out like for 1 they encourage me to do what I feel is right they don't make me turn against my family. And my other side of the family is completely okay with waiting to see her. She's being so selfish! @kenitra

I understand that. My husband didn't like ppl coming to visit but my family kinda just showed up so I didn't want to be rude and kick them out. But yeah I completely agree with you

I wanted my husband mom dad and sister there but after I had her the next day more ppl showed up

Like I already have felt weird as shit during this pregnancy I can only imagine how I feel after I have her. My family is just too much and they stress me out. I just want some time where I can relax and enjoy the newness. @autumnsmomma125

I feel ya. And that's your right to want that. Don't let them control what you chose to do 💕

I had my hubby and my mom in the room when I gave birth and I allowed my hubby's sisters and step mom visit when I was in labor and after she was born (once I was stitched up and cleaned up) it was 4 days of labor so I was kinda glad I had people come visit cause it was a long wait for our daughter. (our daughter is the only child in the family that was planned after 5 years of marriage, so she was very much expected and enthusiastic about her arrival) in the end they should respect your wishes cause it's your baby and your birth
