Freaking out like mad. I have just over 3 weeks left till my due date and I still haven't received my SMP1 form. Without that I can't claim maternity pay and I've been told I can't claim my sure start grant until I apply and start getting child/working tax which I can't get anyway until little man is here. My last payday was the 24th of last month and I have no idea when I'll be getting anything else 😩😭

@lauramorg, yeah it is stupid! If you type in sure start maternity grant eligibility it tells you you need to be claiming some sort of benefit. They're probably say no as of now but maybe you won't need to go through the whole process again once baby is here if you've already applied x
@abbylouise, this is so so so confusing! I'm so angry why didn't my midwife tell me I have to wait until my baby is born because I have to be claiming some sort of benefit, it's a joke, us hard working people get no help! So now I've applied for it an there obvs going to say no so I will then need to phone an ask if I can apply again once she's born an claiming child tax?

This is my problem! Yeah you can't claim the sure start grant unless your claiming some sort of benefits already like income support/jsa etc. I can claim once baby is born cos then I'll be on child/working tax credit but can't apply for them till baby is actually here @lauramorg @jasmineg2010
I keep being told I can't because I'm not getting child or work tax so I'm not entitled to it. But I can't apply for them until babe is here xx

I've just started temping because I believe that the reason I haven't had a BFP yet, after 20 months, is because I believe I may have a Luteal Phase Defect.

I had a stillborn daughter at 38 weeks this passed Nov. This is my second month ttc. (Last month we only tried for like two weeks though). My last and only pregnancy, I got pregnant the first month of ttc so I hope it's quick this time again.
@abbylouise, it's all stupid, they make it so hard for people who actually get up every morning an actually earn there money! im going to have to phone them an explain an tell them I didn't know I needed to wait till she was born an claiming child tax an they will probs just tell me to apply again once my child tax is done 🙄🙄 headache or what xx
