My newborn has a temp of 99.4 (armpit) I read it's considered a low grade fever but worried sick over here. Should I bring her to the ER Or will they likely send me back and tell me to wait to see if it gets higher ?

rectal temp are more accurate on babies if it's 100.4 or above take him in to be seen.

Yeah rectum temp is preferred on baby's it's more accurate.

I don't want to be gross but do a bum temp it's more accurate and see what it says

Thank you! @aidensmommy110 @izamarpink @mimiz She still has a small fever (rectal) but it's not at 100.4 so I'm just going to try to keep her cool and keep an eye on it
