has anyone ever had paraguard or mirena?? does it hurt to get it inserted?

I had the Mirena before & no it doesn't hurt to get inserted at all its a quick process

@rika25, what was your experience with it? did you like it? I'm debating between the two and really want other peoples opinions and experience with it

My experience was love I really liked the Mirena...it was okay I didn't bleed that much it was easy as can be to get put in & taken out@preggie_help_android

Idk yet but I'm getting the Paraguard next week.

It's weird getting in put in, doesn't hurt too bad just feels funny. You're instructed to take ibuprofen before the insertion for the cramps it may cause. But I didn't cramp at all, bled the lightest shade of pink blood for a day. At first it was freaky thinking about it being in there, but now I forget I have it. Paragard is a better option if you don't want weight gain, mood swings, acne, any of the bad stuff hormonal birth control does to you. Also 99% effective!

I had mirena. Constant yeast infections, UTIs and bacterial infections. I don't recommend it.

I have the Paragaurd cause it's no hormones .. And it didn't really hurt .. Just cramped a little.. No troubles with it so far!

I had the mirena the most painful part was getting the shot to open up my cervix to put it in, but it was more uncomfortable than painful.
