I'm starting to get so annoyed when people ask me when my boyfriend and I are getting married 😒 it's like the equivalent of asking "are we there yet" like, you'll know when it happens, just wait on it.
but it's especially annoying when they ask solely because we're having a baby together. like a wedding ring will make us love each other or our son more. do people not take timing into consideration? other things we're taking care of first? the financial aspect of marriage and weddings? I'm ready to start answering that question with "when you pay for it"
I personally do not think marriage equates to a couple having a greater bond than a couple who isn't married...that doesn't mean I don't want to do it, Im just not in a rush to, and I don't see why other people bring up wedding bells more than I do

@Cubanese, right! the way I feel about it is it's like a show that you put on for everyone else to see that you're getting married, a lot of money spent that could easily have been used to buy property or start a business, and paperwork. I think people do it for the emotional aspect, because if you ask someone who is married what is different in their relationship before being married and afterwards all they'll most likely say is nothing

We do plan on getting married but I hate that too. We get that question allllll the time, we just aren't in a rush. The money part isn't ideal for us right now.

@tchrmama13, ooh that's so annoying!! my son is going to be a jr I can't tell you how many times people have told me that I shouldn't do it since his dad and I aren't married. people are just ugh sometimes
