I was told not to during my last pregnancy (4 years ago) but I've also seen other women get the approvals for certain brands of hair dye. I think it may depend but I'm not sure. I never dyed my hair during pregnancy so I can't really speak from experience.

Your welcome my dr told me it is safe as long as you are in a well ventilated are but you cannot bleach your hair

You can highlight as long as you don't have to bleach your hair the ammonia in the bleach is not good for the baby but not all hair die has it
