You can still go to the er they'd just bill you a fat ass bill of whatever insurance would have originally covered. And you can go to a different er you just need your records from your original

Have you checked with the welfare office since your not work n you n your fiancé aren't married you can get insurance. At least for the time being to help cover the labor bc that labor bill is steep!

It doesn't even have to be pregnancy related, it can be anything but a hospital cannot deny you.

Can't you go on Medicaid?? I'm sure they will give it to you. If I'm not mistaken, they give it to every pregnant woman!

@rodriguez13, yeah I had insurance through welfare but I had to renew my benefits and I didn't get the letter till late because it was sent to the house in Allentown (long story) so they cut my medicaid like not even a month ago so I have to call my case worker

apply for emergency medicaid so they can pay for the birth. that's what I was told to do

I think that even if they stopped it and you give birth during that period, they will still cover it. They always go back to when you lost it so I wouldn't worry so much.

I see you live in pa so Google pa health insurance and call to speak to a representative and tell them you want to apply for emergency medicaid cause your (weeks) pregnant

I'm going through the same thing right now because I lost my job. They told me my application was denied for some documentation they never even asked me for. I'm going to the Welfare Office Monday

they can't deny you ANY care what so ever, insurance or not! that's a HUGE lawsuit.

Contact Medicaid and they'll rush it being that your pregnant. I contacted Medicaid when I found out my artificial insemination was an success (2 weeks pregnant) and I received my card like 5 days after so they'll definitely work with you as long as you have verification that your pregnant to send them!

@anumaat, I have my medicaid card and everything its just I was suppose to renew my welfare and I didn't receive the letter at this address so I never got to renew it and so they cut my medicaid off so I have to contact the lady ASAP on Monday morning.
