Question: jst found out today my 11 yr old niece got her period!!! I have a 8 yr old girl..I dnt want my daughter to get her period later on n be scared... So when did you moms talk about sex to ur kids????

I got mine at 12 , but my mom never really sat me down and told me. I think as I got older I just asked questions and she'd answer them but never sat down and spilled it all out
I didn't get a talk till I got it but my mom had just given me pads to put in my back pack and just said if you get a period use these my friend got it the week before
I got mine @ 13...my niece is frm my husband side so I ask her mom when she got hers she said 13 too.. so my niece got hers young...
i got mine at 8, i think it depends on what majority of the women in your family had it because everyone in mine had it by 9
My mom started the sex talk when I started sex Ed in 5th grade.
I kind of want to explain lil by little....like periods you get cause SO n so..then later more detail I guess Idk....I jst realize she's getting bigger n I'm scared
