Does an epidural hurt?
What about when they put the catheter in?
my epidural didnt hurt just felt weird sent a tickle down my back so hopefully u get someone that knows what their doin ...ive never experienced a catheter
The only reason my epidural hurt is because my anesthesiologist wasn't the best and the first time failed. She took forever, and it didn't work. So when she came BACK in to do it the 2nd time, my water had been broken, and holy crap I was in so much more pain. But once it kicks in...wow. I felt amazing. I'm still recovering from the complications and will be for quite some time but I still will be getting an epidural for my next birth. The part that "hurts" most is the insertion of the numbing medication. It's a lot easier to handle after that.
Nope! I felt a little pop when the needle went in then felt absolutely nothing. The thought of it is a lot more scarier. I didn't feel them put the catheter in at all. I didn't even know I had one until they told me lol
