How do I know if my breast milk is no good? My mom told my milk looks to thin because it's no good

I never heard of bad breast milk before. Mine is thin too.

I don't understand how it can be bad I thought it was the best thing for babies. I thought all breast milk was thin @charleighsmomma

I'd still keep breast feeding despite what she says. It is the best. If my breast milk was thick I'd be pretty concerned.

look up foremilk and hindmilk.. The lactation consultant through WIC said the first part of the milk is like water to help quench the thirst then the end part is what keeps the baby full. You might only be getting the foremilk out instead of the thick stuff. If the baby only gets foremilk it'll want to eat more often if it gets both it'll take longer between feedings.

That's just foremilk. It's more watery, basically to hydrate baby, than hindmilk which is fattier and more filling. Breastmilk can't be bad coming from you unless you've had to take medications that can affect baby.

If you put some in the fridge, the fat should float up to the top. Then you know your getting the hind milk
