Does anyone use anything other than baby specific laundry detergent (Dreft, Purex baby, All baby, etc.)?
I just switched us to Gain and I'm keeping Tide Free & Gentle for the baby clothes. I'm a big Tide fan. Earlier I was buying all the detergents and completely forgot to get Downy Free & Gentle fabric softener so I could do my son's blankets and other last minute things. I have the purple Snuggle and the original Gain fabric softener. I did use Dreft to wash his clothes all because I have it left over from old stuff I was washing. I'm not sure if Dreft has it's own fabric softener in the detergent or not but I just wanted to make sure his blankets and bedding were soft. My daughter's skin wasn't sensitive and we eventually started using our laundry products on her clothes after a few months. I just don't want to risk causing a skin irritation if I use the Gain or Snuggle I already have here.
Arm and Hammer for sensitive skin. I use it for both baby and my clothes.
Probably a cray question to ask, but when did y’all start to wash your newborns clothes and putting them away? Like I’ve been getting clothes since I found out what I was having but I haven’t taken off tags yet or washed anything. I’m 30 weeks. It’s crazy because with my other 3 kids I didn’t really wash a lot of their stuff at first (got lazy) ALSO what laundry detergent did you use if you didn’t use Dreft? Because i saw Pyrex for Baby an didn’t know if anyone tried it??

Can't wait to wash my baby girl's clothes etc tomorrow!😍
I bought Dreft. Is dreft good!?
Got some Dreft for baby clothes... How long do I have to use newborn detergent, and can I use something else, because Dreft is expensive.. :/
Can I use regular detergent & fabric softener to wash the baby's clothes?
Question.. Did you wash each article of clothing for baby (new and used) or just the used clothes. Also, if you did wash them, what detergent did you use? I used regular tide pods I believe with my son, and never thought twice about it. I know they make laundry detergents specifically for babies and was wondering if that was worth the extra money?
I use All Free & Clear. Everyone in my family uses it - adults, children, and babies. It works great.
