I would go back if that's where family is, I don't have any here in CA and it's really hard and my hubby isn't even gone so I couldn't imagine

I would go back home. I moved home when my husband deployed and I wasn't even pregnant. You will want to be with family.

I moved back home. There's no way I was going to be alone with two kids I'd go crazy lol plus it's saving us a lot of money and I get help from my family.

@harleyann, @fxhie yeah I'm thinkin movin back home is my best option, unfortunately we live off base so I would need to pay the rent while I'm gone, which is no big deal. I just hope I'm able to shut the water, gas, and electric off while I'm gone so I don't have to pay that too

How long will your hubby be gone? We gave up our apartment to save money and we're getting a house once he's home 😊

How long is he deployed for? unless you guys really want to keep that place, you can break your lease. You just give them a copy of his orders and they can't charge you to break it early. Unless you want to keep that rental. In which case you should be able to shut off utilities or call tell them he's deploying and they can temporarily turn them off.

@fxhie, @harleyann he leaves October and comes back either may or July ( most likely may ) so 7-9 months. And see, I emailed the lady at the realtor place about leavin when he deploys and she said If you should choose to move back home because your husband is deploying, that does not release you from the lease. The only release clause we have is if the military spouse is being PCS'd elsewhere. And our only option is to put in a 30 day notice, but we would still be responsible for rent until either A) someone else rents it or B) our lease is up which isn't until April

you might want to have him check with whoever his superior is. He was stationed in San Diego and we broke our lease months early. No issues. His chief told him he wouldn't have any problems and if he did to tell them.
