Has anyone else taken the antibiotic cefalexin?

I have had to take them everyday for the past 30 weeks. if a UTI is left untreated I can't tell you how many issues it causes. I know I've been there it can cause severe kidney infections where you need IV antibiotics and those doses are so high they can effect baby!xx

@tg123456789, my back is having small twinges of pain like im being punched in the back and it winds me but the pain doesnt stay. I hope you get all get better @tg123456789 @cayleighnatasha xxx

utis i think are awful. u feel shocking and run down and my back kills all time with em :(

no problem they're horrible aren't they. I have uti and a kidney infection atm it's so painful 😷hope you get better soon lovely x

Thank you! I think the last time i had a uti i must have been 11-12 years old and it was super painful. My temperature is fine and i feel fine just a small pain in my kidneys. Thank you tho i feel better about takin them @cayleighnatasha xxx

Yeah I was taking them for a suspected kidney infection. Turns out I don't have one so I've stopped taking them. If you've been told to take them for your baby's sake then take them and just ring the doctors for results if they come back and say you don't have any kind of infection then you can stop taking them. My boss is a midwife & that's what she told me to do. It won't do you any harm to stop taking them mid course x

i dont like taking tablets but antibiotics work more aless next day and water infections left untreated are said to be able to cause miscarriage. just follow the course to the end so doesnt come back otherwise putting u n baby at more risk. @abbiegale xx

Yeah if uti is left untreated it can cause problems in pregnancy I suffer really bad with them pregnant or not and kidney infections aswell.. they're very safe to take xx

Iv been givin them by my doctor just incase i have a kidney infection. My kidney hurts abit and she said that kidney infections if let get worse can cause earlier labour or a small baby. I really hate taking tablets but considering it for my baby. She gave me them for when i feel the need to take them @cayleighnatasha @tg123456789 xxx

yes 3 courses so far this pregnancy. its one of the two safe antibiotics to take they told me. each time was water infection. @abbiegale. xx
