My Dr is refusing to sign my FMLA so I can take a day off work when my pregnancy symptoms are bad without getting fired... the last week has been hell and the last 2 days have been even worse. overlapping headaches, my entire body is so sore it feels like I've run 10 marathons and I can barely move. I've slept from 930a to 730p and an STILL tired. I was told the 2nd trimester was the easiest one..... I guess I break that rule

they won't do it because there's no point when you're only 20 wks everything you're going through comes with pregnancy some women even have worse symptoms and they won't sign off for you to take more than 6 wks after birth you can take up to 12 wks off but you just won't get paid

If I have the time saved up I can get paid for up to 3 months.

Good luck momma you got a long road ahead of you! When you get to 30-40 weeks it's going to be a lot worse so if you are having a hard time now maybe you will have to figure out how to stay off work until after the baby.. I had preterm labor many times at mid pregnancy as well as seizures induced by pregnancy.. She would put me on bed rest for a while but then take me off and I had no choice to go back to work ... Hang in there because it won't get any easier

I can only take up to 3 months off without getting fired. by the time I go back I will have to go out again for maternity. I just want November to be here so I can hold my baby boy and let the rest of my problems melt away.

@mommytobe88, that's what I thought would happen. but they haven't even called me back
nicola brooks·
umm... sometimes you have to pay like ten bucks or so. I would call and maybe ask if they're waiting for a payment or something?

plus, you kinda want it sooner than later in case something bad happens. bed rest or anything like that. I was super afraid of miscarriage.

do you work in the medical field @nightdaughter
