I don't know how your Dr's work but with mine they sent me to l&d where they monitored her for 24 hours...then they decided to induce but again they were planning to induce me anyways 5 days later because I have diabetes. my daughter was never very active...she was always calm and still is for the most part lol. I didn't mind doing the NSTs because I loved to listen to her heart beat....I was the same way...always worried...don't be afraid to ask the nurse doing the test or Dr any questions...it helped to calm me down lol.

oh crazy! well I'm happy I might be able to see my baby them but she needs to behave and follow there rules lol I worried because shes not as active as she used to be and has hiccup's about 5 times a day...I was told that fine but it creeped me out Im only 35 weeks and what if she fails both tests will they have to keep me? Im sorry about all the questions also lol I'm just a worry bug all the time 😞 @eskawho

oh and if baby is being stubborn they may use a buzzer on your belly...made my daughter jump all over the place.

yup, they monitor the heart rate with movements...they need to many in that time with the heart rate accelerated then going back down. if for some reason my daughter failed...which she did a lot because she was stubborn and wanted to sleep...we would get an ultrasound sound done and she had to pass their checklist...I had one done each week from 32 weeks on lol...basically certain movements and things and practice breathing...my daughter passed each week...until 38 weeks when she failed both the NST and ultrasound so I had to get monitored at l&d. they induced me 2 days later...I was already going to be induced a few days later.

Oooh oh I thought it would take hours so it's basically to see if she is ok and is still moving:) @eskawho

I used to be twice a week...they just hook you up to a monitor and listen to the baby's heartbeat and monitor movement. usual takes about 30 minutes...some days she was moving so much I was out within 20.
