Have any of you ladies had to schedule to be induced?
My husband is currently in Afghanistan. I'm due December 2nd, so if things stay the same as they are now, Skype is the only way he'll be able to see his baby girl born...
@dcb012, , Well, I've been a military wife for quite some time lol so I do know pretty much all I should. But, with his rank right now and what he has been doing, he's thinking he may be able to come back, but with that being said, EVERYTHING changes so quickly in the military, so I'm never certain on anything. Also, I don't do it to be thanked.... I'm doing my part as a wife, regardless of what career path he chose. It just so happened to be Army, so of course I'm going to stand behind my soldier, wherever life takes us. I made that promise to him regardless of what he wanted to do in life. Being thanked definitely isn't why I do it....
Unfortunately welcome to being a military wife..... My dad wasn't even able to be on the phone for my sister birth due to the military..... It sucks but it's one of the many sacrifices you and your child will make as a military family.... But hey, when he retires you get thanked for it?! I would say just watch as you get closer. December is a long ways away. You may also be able to call the Red Cross and have him shipped home depending how early you go. If you're a couple weeks and baby is other wise healthy they won't but if you're substantially early and it could result in the child being in the NICU they can often times get your soldier home.... Also, unless there's a medical reason, most hospitals won't allow an induction before 39 weeks....
